About Us
This Website is for the Muslim
Students Association of Golden Gate University of San Francisco.
The purpose of the MSA-GGU is to provide a forum for the followers of the
faith of Islam and to assist Muslim students at GGU to practice the
teachings of Islam. Towards this end, the MSA-GGU shall help Muslim students
carry out Islamic activities in pursuance of Islam as a complete way of
life, present Islamic principles to interested non-Muslims, carry out
social, cultural, and other religious activities, and promote friendly
relations between Muslims and non- Muslims.
Objectives of MSA :
- To strengthen bonds among Muslims.
- To clarify
the right teaching of Islam.
- To promote an Islamic way of life among Muslims, based upon the Qur'an and the Sunnah.
- To provide information about Islam with clarity to
all students of other faiths .
- To promote a better understanding of
Islam among Muslims, as well as Non Muslims.
- To answer tricky questions which lead to
misunderstanding of Islam.
- To promote the unity among students.

Ayahs of the Month :
<< And among His Signs is this, that He created you
(Adam) from dust, and then [Eve from Adam's rib, and then his offspring
from the semen, and], - behold you are human beings scattered!>>
[Ar-Rum, 30 : 20]
<< And among
His Signs is this, that He created for you wives from among yourselves,
that you may find repose in them, and He has put between you affection
and mercy. Verily, in that are indeed signs for a people who reflect. >>[Ar-Rum, 30 : 21]
<< And among
His Signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the
difference of your languages and colors. Verily, in that are indeed
signs for men of sound knowledge. >>[Ar-Rum,
30 : 22]

Hadith of the Month :
The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said:
"When a person is dead,
his deeds are ceased (stopped) except three:
1. Deeds of continuous Sadaqa
(act of charity), e.g. an orphan home or a well for giving water or
drink. etc.
2. (written) knowledge with
which mankind gets benefit.
3. A righteous, pious son (or
daughter) who begs Allah to forgive his (or her) parents. "
[Narrated by Abu Hurairah][Sahih Muslim]
